Graduate studies

Training tomorrow's researchers

Training the next generation of scientists is a priority at the heart of the IRCM's mission. By choosing the IRCM for your studies, you join an internationally renowned biomedical research centre where you will have the opportunity to obtain a master's (MSc) or doctoral (Ph.D.) degree from Université de Montréal or McGill University. IRCM researchers are attached to different departments of these two universities.

Finding a research director

Students interested in pursuing their graduate studies with one of our research teams are invited to consult the scientific structure of the IRCM, and communicate with the research unit director of their choice to discuss the terms for joining the IRCM. With the exception of the master's Cellular and Molecular Medicine (MCM) option, students must first find a research supervisor before applying.

Financial support

Competitive training grants are available to graduate and postdoctoral students. However, students who choose to start a scientific career at the IRCM will be encouraged to obtain financial support from the various granting agencies. The IRCM's Academic Affairs direction can support you in all your efforts.

Available research projects

Several master's and doctoral projects are posted weekly for the graduate student community. Find out what projects are currently available to be part of the IRCM team.
