Disclaimers:
The FH-Risk-Score should be used in FH patients aged between 18 and 65 years of age.
The FH-Risk-Score can not be used for patients in secondary cardiovascular prevention.
All FH patients should be treated with maximally tolerated statin therapy regardless of the FH-Risk-Score result.
The cardiovascular risk should be reassessed periodically or whenever a patient’s expected risk status changes (e.g.: new onset hypertension, changes in smoking status, etc.).
The use of the FH-Risk-Score should not replace the clinical judgment, as several other factors that are not part of the FH-Risk-Score can modulate the clinical picture of the patient such as diabetes, lifestyle, environmental, or genetic factors, as well as the presence of inflammatory disease.
Consider diabetic FH subjects to have a de facto high risk of ASCVD.
