How do I complete a
postdoctoral fellowship at the IRCM?

A postdoctoral fellowship provides an opportunity for PhDs who have received their degree within the past five years to develop their research expertise and become an independent researcher.

In Quebec, postdoctoral fellowships are regulated and require full-time university enrolment in accordance with provincial regulations established by the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement Supérieur (MEES). IRCM postdoctoral fellows may register at Université de Montréal or McGill University if the affiliation of the research director permits.

Financial
support

Competitive training awards are offered to all IRCM postdoctoral fellows. However, postdoctoral fellows who choose to start a scientific career at the IRCM are encouraged to obtain financial support from various private and public organizations. The IRCM Academic Affairs department will support you in all your endeavours.
