Information - Refection Work
The City of Montreal is currently carrying out major road work that will last several months around the Montreal Clinical Research Institute. Throughout this work, the IRCM clinic will continue to serve you as usual. However, this work will certainly cause several changes regarding the access to the Institute.
To help you find your way around, we invite you to take note of the following information:
Access to the Clinic
- The entrance to the clinic, at 120 Des Pins Avenue, will be accessible at all times.
- Pedestrian access to the IRCM will be maintained at all times during the project.
- The bike lane is closed on Des Pins Avenue during the work.
- It is possible to access the clinic by car via Basset Street in order to drop off a visitor at the door of the clinic. However, no parking space is available on Basset Street.
- Paratransit vehicles can drop off visitors at 120 Des Pins W Avenue via Basset Street (accessible via Sainte-Famille Street or Prince-Arthur W Street).
Parking
- Parking is very limited around the IRCM.
- The parking spaces for those with disabilities that were on Basset Street are no longer available.
- The nearby parking lots are:
- The parking lots of the Hôtel Dieu de Montréal hospital (access on Saint-Urbain Street at the level of Roy W. and Saint-Cuthbert streets)
- The parking lot on Basset Street, with access via rue Prince-Arthur Street (often full)
- Parking on Basset Street, with access via Milton Street (often full)
- Public lots with parking meters on neighboring streets (for example, on Saint-Laurent Boulevard)
Public transportation
Several bus stops will be temporarily moved during the work.
- The 144-bus line is diverted on Sherbrooke Street and Parc Avenue due to the work. The stops on this line coming from or going to the Sherbrooke metro station are therefore futher from the IRCM than before (subject to change):
- 144 EST – Temporary stop at the corner of Sherbrooke Street and Saint-Laurent Boulevard.
- 144 WEST – Temporary stop at the corner of Sherbrooke Street and Saint-Urbain Street
- The closest bus stops to the Institute are:
- 55 NORTH - Stop at the corner of boulevard Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Roy Street (52291)
- 55 SOUTH - Stop at the corner of Saint-Urbain Street and Des Pins Avenue (52282)

Merchandise delivery
Deliveries will continue on the dock access on Basset Street.
