Michel CayouetteVice-president,

Michel Cayouette (Ph.D.) is Vice-President, Research and Academic Affairs and Director of the Cellular Neurobiology Research Unit at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM). He is also a Full Research Professor in the Department of Medicine at Université de Montréal, and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University. He is Director of the FRQS Vision Health Research Network, a provincial initiative dedicated to promoting research capacity and international visibility for more than 140 vision scientists in Quebec by funding collaborative projects and various infrastructures. He is also Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of Fighting Blindness Canada. His research focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating nervous system development and regeneration, with a particular emphasis on the retina. |
Nadia DubéVice-President, Development and Administration |
Nadia Dubé has contributed to the research and innovation life sciences ecosystem for many years and holds several years of research experience in various sub-sectors. A scientist by training, she holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from McGill University and a double Executive MBA from Université Paris-Dauphine and ESG-UQAM. In 2017, she started a non-academic career in business development at Mitacs, a national non-profit research organization, where she developed research partnerships between academia and industry. She then focused on life sciences at the Quebec Biopharmaceutical Research Consortium (CQDM) as Senior Director of Communications and Business Development. In 2021, she joined the Foreign Direct Investment team at Investissement Québec as Senior Project Director for the life sciences and health technology sector, with the mandate to attract foreign investment to Québec, and to contribute to the development of strategic industrial projects. Dr. Dubé was appointed Vice-President, Development and Administration at the IRCM in January 2023. |
Rémi Rabasa-LhoretVice President, Clinic and Clinical Research |
Rémi Rabasa-Lhoret is an endocrinologist, researcher and professor of medicine and nutrition. He specializes in the treatment of different forms of diabetes. With his team, he established one of the largest diabetes clinics in Quebec, published more than 350 scientific articles, obtained patents and received numerous awards and grants. Holder of 3 research chairs in diabetes: J-A DeSève, Lamarre Gosselin and international from the Université de Lille (France). At the IRCM since 2008. |
Isabelle AudetDirector of Human Resources |
This expert in the field holds a master's degree in business administration as well as a bachelor's degree in human resources management. Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines, Ms. Audet has worked at a high level in this field, until recently at the École de technologie supérieure and previously in the health network as well as at Revenu Québec, between others. In all these positions, she deployed multiple and refined abilities both in terms of supporting personnel and managers and deploying programs, updating policies and procedures, directives or programs covering all aspects of human ressources. She is also an expert in talent recruitment strategy, among others. |

Coming from the world of journalism, Florence Meney has worked in communications and media relations for ten years in the science and health network. She has been working at the IRCM since 2021. She is also a writer of essays and fiction. |
Ana Paula PinguelliDirector of Legal Affairs, IRCM and General Secretary |
A member in good standing of the Quebec Bar and the Brazilian Bar Association, and holder of a certificate in civil law - business law orientation from the Université de Montréal, Maitre Ana Paula Pinguelli previously worked for several years in the legal department of the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM), where she constantly acquired new responsibilities. |
