A Passion for Science

 Faces of a New Generation at the IRCM 

At the Montréal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM), training the new generation of high-level scientists is a top priority. Over the last six decades of its existence, our venerable institution has witnessed the emergence of many talented researchers, who advance knowledge. Wherever they work, they contribute to igniting the flame of science in the younger generation, who carries within the innovative therapies of tomorrow.

If the longevity of Canadians has steadily increased since the last world war, it is in part thanks to advances in research that have enabled us to better control human diseases. The IRCM itself has seen a number of young talents give birth to novel therapies with far-reaching implications for population health.

Today, the faces are different from those of yesterday, but the passion is the same. Here, we inaugurate a new series of short videos with some of our young scientists who, in the space of a minute or two, tell us about their passion, their field of research and its potential for improving human health, as well as their attachment to their scientific home base.
