The IRCM clinic, a reference centre for clinical care and specialized medical research, has a unique approach that combines care and research to promote a better understanding of diseases in order to accelerate their management or cure, for the benefit of all.
The Lipids, Nutrition and Cardiovascular Prevention Clinic assesses and treats patients with elevated cholesterol and/or triglyceride levels who are at risk of developing cardiovascular or metabolic diseases. To better understand the origins of these lipid disorders and their complications, the team also studies the nutritional, biochemical, genetic, molecular and pharmacological aspects of these disorders in order to offer new, more effective treatments and reduce complications.
As part of this drive to equip patients and professionals alike, the clinic team has developed and produced a series of informative podcasts on the subject of hypertriglyceridemia, its consequences and, above all, hopeful avenues of care.
