The next generation of scientists is alive and kicking at the IRCM.
We are pleased to announce that our scientist Marion Lacroix is the winner of the Fonds de recherche du Québec award for December, in the Relève étoile Jacques-Genest category.
For those who do not know her, Marion is a PhD student in experimental medicine in Dr. Tarik Möröy's laboratory.
She is being recognized for her article The X-Linked Helicase DDX3X Is Required for Lymphoid Differentiation and MYC-Driven Lymphomagenesis, published in Cancer Research this summer.
This work had attracted the attention of the media and the scientific and academic community:
In November, we announced that Sara Luiza Banerjee, a postdoctoral fellow at the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal working in Dr. Arthur Kania's laboratory, also received the FRQS Jacques-Genest star award for her publication EPH receptor tyrosine kinases phosphorylate the PAR-3 scaffold protein to modulate downstream signaling networks.
Congratulations to this excellence!
