Quebec's Chief Scientist, Rémi Quirion, and the Scientific Directors of the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ), Janice Bailey of the FRQNT, Carole Jabet of the FRQS, and Louise Poissant of the FRQSC, announced the 2023-2024 training awards, career awards and research grants on Thursday. In this context, IRCM researchers and students are achieving notable success with the FRQS, which the institute would like to acknowledge.
Three researchers have been awarded "research grants":
Dr. Mathieu Ferron (Senior)
Roles of vitamin K and vitamin K-dependent proteins in health and disease
Dr. Martin Sauvageau (Junior 2)
Molecular functions and interactions of long non-coding RNAs in disease
Dr. Éric Lécuyer (Merit Scholar)
Characterization of intracellular RNA transport pathways: implications in various normal and pathological cellular processes and for the innovation of new therapeutic approaches.
