Research project evaluating the use and integration of Support, an online training platform for adults living with type 1 diabetes or LADA into clinical care. You will find a wealth of insights about nutrition, insulin administration (such as injections or insulin pumps), physical activity, mental health, and more to strengthen your knowledge regarding type 1 diabetes.
Implication
To participate, you will first need to provide consent and complete a brief questionnaire. Following this, you will have secure access to the Support website (accessible from any internet-connected device) for 12 months.
Your involvement will include:
- Completing three online questionnaires (at the beginning, after 6 months, and after 12 months).
- If you use a continuous glucose monitor, you will be asked if you consent to sharing your data at these three timepoints as well.
- An optional video conference interview at the end of the study (at 12 months).
This study is conducted in collaboration with the Montreal Clinical Research Institute and McGill University and has been approved by Ethics’ board of the Centre hospitalier de l’université de Montréal and of the Centre hospitalier Universitaire de Québec, Université Laval.
Inclusion criteria
- Adult living with type 1 diabetes or LADA
- Live in Canada
- Have access to the internet
