It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emmanuel Triassi, member of the board of directors and of the audit committee of the Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM).
Emmanuel Triassi was a seasoned manager who joined the ranks of the Institute in 2011. From the beginning, he fully dedicated himself as co-chair of the major Giving for Life campaign, helping to raise $ 15 million to benefit the IRCM Foundation. In the years that followed, those who worked with him at the IRCM witnessed his commitment and his unwavering generosity. Instigator of a doctoral excellence grant bearing his name, and unconditional supporter of the Foundation's Annual Dinner, his attachment to the Institute was evident to those around him, since his son has also been involved with the Committee of Ambassadors of the Challenge IRCM, for several years now.
"We are terribly shaken by this news. It is much more than a collaborator we are losing with the premature departure of Emmanuel, but also a friend. On behalf of the entire IRCM community and on my own, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones," said Max Fehlmann, President and Scientific Director of the IRCM.
"This is a sad day for the IRCM and all those who have known him," said André Couillard, president of the IRCM Foundation. "We will never forget his journey within the Institute, his impact on the Foundation and on each of us, as well as his accomplishments for the advancement of health research."
