Seven researchers from the Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) were awarded $7.7M in grants during the most recent competitions of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). The announcement of the national competition results was made by the Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Health, on August 13 at Université de Montréal.

On the one hand, Michel Cayouette, Director of the IRCM's Cellular Neurobiology Research Unit, was awarded a CIHR Foundation Grant. On the other hand, six IRCM projects will be funded through CIHR’s Project Competition. They will be led by Mathieu Ferron, Artur Kania, Martin Sauvageau, Woong-Kyung Suh, Hideto Takahashi, and Marie Trudel.

By supporting these researchers, these grants will help further biomedical research.
