We invite you to be part of the IRCM Immunology Biobank.
To be eligible for this project, you must:
- Be over 14 years of age
- Have a diagnosis of Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)
This study involves one (1) visit per year to the IRCM.
During your first visit, you are invited to read an Information and Consent Form, and to sign it afterwards.
For each visit, we invite you to complete a few questionnaires and to provide some samples.
The samples collected include:
- Blood
- Saliva
- Urine
- Stool
Expected benefits:
Participation in this study is strictly on a voluntary basis.
This study will allow us to analysis your data along with that of other patients with HAE in order to see if the gut microbiota (i.e. the bacteria that live the intestinal tract), may have an impact on HAE flares and severity.
Through your participation in this study, you will be contributing to the scientific knowledge about this disease.
